Every Day is a HONU Day

The Hawaiian word for the green sea turtle is HONU.

It is my understanding that the ancient Hawaiians considered the Honu as a symbol of the goddess and abundance. You can see 13 panels on the back of their shell, which is said to represent the 13 moons in a year.

It has also believe that if you see a Honu with 28 panels around the 13, and this is very good luck.

They are associated with wisdom longevity mana and protection, along with good luck.

I always feel good after swimming with them.
